President and CEO of SPP Marketing Services Inc (SPP), Elen Steinberg has been recognized in the media, through award nominations and invited keynote speaker engagements as one of Canada’s leading women entrepreneurs.

From an “at-home” promotions business start up in 1987, Elen and her long term management team have grown the company into an International credit card marketing powerhouse, partnering with every major bank in the country. SPP Marketing Services Inc.has enrolled over 3.5 million Canadians for prestigious credit card and financial products and continues to be the leading provider of credit card marketing services in Canada.

Journalist by profession and marketer by experience, Elen brought her creative and innovative ideas and strategies to the direct face to face sales arena in 1995. In 1998, Elen and her team created the first long term model for permanent face to face credit card marketing campaigns in Canadian Airports. The Marketing initiative oversaw every aspect of the program and included concept development, point of purchase displays, in field campaign execution and development of an order tracking system. Executed through multi kiosk locations and targeting frequent travelers, travel based co-branded credit card marketers now had a blue print for successful interactions with consumers. Since then, SPP Marketing Services has been accredited with some of the most successful credit card campaigns in Canadian history and have seen their innovative concepts copied and adopted worldwide.

In 2003 she was one of a selected group of leading Canadian women entrepreneurs chosen to participate on the Prime Minister's task force on women entrepreneurs. This ground breaking initiative brought in legislative changes that directly affected the lives of over 800,000 women entrepreneurs in Canada.

In 2005, Elen Steinberg joined the ranks of the top 40 of Canada’s Leading Women Entrepreneurs.

In 2011, SPP Marketing Services Inc. became certified by WeConnect as a woman’s owned enterprise meeting global certification standards for corporate procurement diversity.

Elen holds a communications degree from Concordia University and has attended Carleton School of Journalism. Twice nominated for the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Elen Steinberg has been recognized by Profit magazine as one of TOP 100 Women Business owners in Canada for 4 consecutive years. Elen is passionate about giving back to the community through philanthropy and personal time. She supports many charities such as: Variety Village, POGO – children’s cancer foundation, Hospital for Sick Kids, Pencer Brain Trust Foundation, UJA Federation. She has volunteered her time for Gems of Hope, helping women in the developing world start their own businesses, and has built a National treatment centre and school for the Orr Shalom foundation for abused children.
