Exhibiting Success (June 1995)
"Here are a few key elements we've used to help our clients achieve
success:
-
Consider offering some "incentive" at your
exhibit as an extra attraction, and as a means of generating leads
and a customer database.… The gift can be anything from a pen to a
shoe bag.
-
Make sure that your staff can explain or
demonstrate your product and service in a short time.
-
…location is crucial…, so booth positioning is a
primary factor for a successful show. Ideally, your booth will be
located near an entrance, near a main walkway, or on an island
(intersection) …
-
Always remember, the goal is to reach the
greatest number of people in the shortest amount of time. At a
consumer show, especially, you have to be able to reach the greatest
number of people because your clientele/consumers are so varied. …
-
Make sure your exhibit has good support,
including well-written and professional-looking brochures or other
literature, … your booth has to look professional, so don't scrimp
on layout and graphics. Image is everything next to the product
itself, and a booth that looks as if it was designed for the
particular promotion adds credibility."
